Mind Matters

Mind Matters

In November 2013, I founded Mind Matters, I first started crocheting after seeing the second movie in The Hunger Games series, “Catching Fire”, and seeing Katiness Everdeen in the opening scene of the movie in her Huntress Cross Body Cowl and I immediately thought “Oh I need that in my fashion wardrobe.” It was during this thought process that I realized that I could totally teach myself to crochet.  So off to Joann’s Arts and Crafts I went and returned with my first crocheting hook. For those of you wondering where the name “Mind Matters” comes from, this is truly how my mind works, because upon my return home from Joann’s Arts and Crafts I realized that I had no clue how to crochet.  After many hours of watching “how-to” videos on YouTube I taught myself how to make basic scarves, neck ties and boot cuffs.   After six months I began making cowls with buttons, prayer shawls, scoodies, Leaf Lariats with Flower and finally the Huntress Cross Body Cowl. Based on the positive feedback I have received on my designs, I have transformed my hobby in a small business and thus "The Crocheting Therapist" came to  life.
